Opened in November 2016, Milaidhoo is a five-star boutique private island resort located in Baa Atoll in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, close to the world-famous Hanifaru Bay, 126 km northwest of the capital island, Male’.
Perfect for nature lovers, the coral reef encircling the island is a protected area and is noted as an outstanding snorkeling and diving site. This tiny, beautiful island, abundant with tropical greenery, measures just 300m by 180m (5.4 hectares) and is fringed by a soft, deep white sand beach.
A short 35-minute seaplane ride from Velana International Airport brings guests to this haven. Alternatively, guests can catch a 15-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride to Milaidhoo. Designed for couples seeking peace and privacy, guests aged nine and above are welcome.

The sun deck is created around a private 42sqm freshwater infinity pool with a Maldivian-style swing couch, sun loungers, a large umbrella, a dining table with chairs and a large, shaded daybed. Steps lead down into the lagoon for easy access to the nearby coral reef.
Set on a white, powder soft, sand beach amongst palm trees and lush, tropical greenery, these bright and spacious 290sqm thatched-roof villas open-up 180-degrees to a huge sundeck and spectacular views. Inside each villa is a king-size bed with amazing views of the beach and ocean, each villa has high ceilings inspiring space and light.
This 564sqm thatched-roof Residence suspended on pillars over the ocean, has two large bedrooms with wonderful sea views. There is a gym concealed under the roof as a secret space for workouts, private yoga and meditation sessions while enjoying an inspiring view. Outside on the broad sundeck are a swing chair, sun loungers and a private freshwater infinity pool with steps down into the lagoon.
In the Milaidhoo Ocean Residence guests discover an over-water paradise with spectacular views. Set at the very end of the lagoon jetty, this over-water residence has a separate living room and two bedrooms, each with a spacious en-suite bathroom. This beachfront grill is where you’ll find superb meats and freshly caught local fish and seafood, simply cooked and beautifully presented. You can dine barefoot in a private beach pavilion, or inside the grill with a view of the show kitchens. We think several visits to Shoreline Grill will be required, including at least one evening at our chef’s “teppanyaki” table where our chef will ask what you feel like eating and cook accordingly. At our chef’s table, our team of chefs are ready to cook up a perfect dinner, just the way you want it, right before your eyes at our teppanyaki-style table. Here’s the tropical breakfast you’ve always dreamed of: sitting on the deck by the ocean as our team delivers wave after wave of treats to your table. For lunch and dinner the style remains casually comfortable with international dishes perfectly presented from our a la carte menu. Here, the key words are fresh, flavourful and friendly.
